The Board of Reference features established leaders from around the world. These
people offer input into the composition and operation of The War College. The
Board consists of General Eva Burrows, Stacey Campbell, Wesley Campbell,
Commissioners Shaw Clifton, Wesley Harris, and Phil Needham, Lieutenant-Colonel
Don Copple, Dr. David Demian, and Major Chick Yuill.

General Eva Burrows
The
retired international leader of The Salvation Army, General Eva Burrows
keeps a worldwide ministry, and serves on the Board of the
International Bible Society. She served 17 years as a
missionary in Africa. As General (1986-1993), she
preached in 62 countries and spread the message of the Army to presidents
and royalty. Under her leadership The Salvation Army invaded
East Germany, Czechoslovakia, Hungary, and Russia.
She is the recipient of many honourary doctorates, and
is appointed a Companion of the Order of Australia.

Shaw Clifton
Commissioner
Shaw Clifton leads The Salvation Army in New Zealand. The author of several
books, he has played an influential role in several key events in the Army's
history of this past generation. His leadership of the Army in Pakistan
resulted in astounding growth in that country.
Commissioner Clifton holds a law degree and a doctorate. His books include
NEVER THE SAME AGAIN, WHO ARE THESE SALVATIONISTS?, STRONG DOCTRINE STRONG
MERCY, GROWING TOGETHER, and WHAT DOES THE SALVATIONIST SAY?

Commissioner Wesley Harris
The
author of several popular books, Commissioner Wesley Harris is retired from
leadership in The Salvation Army in such countries as Canada,
New Zealand, and Scotland. He continues a preaching and teaching ministry
worldwide, and locally at the public school. His titles include BATTLE
LINES, LIFE IS A TIGHTROPE, SUCCESS IS IN GIVING, and YOU'VE GOT WHAT IT TAKES.

Lt. Colonel Don Copple
Lt-Colonel
Don Copple leads The Salvation Army in southern British Columbia. Having led
large congregations to growth and multiplication, Copple's heart and leadership
are enabling growth in the scores of ministry units in his division.

Major
Chick Yuill
Having
established influential local congregations, Major Chick Yuill now leads The
Salvation Army in Manchester, England. Chick is a
popular preacher worldwide at such events as Spring Harvest. He has
written several books like THIS MEANS WAR, AND GOD CREATED SEX, THE GOD WHO
SAVES, and WE NEED SAINTS.

Wesley and Stacey
Campbell
The
Campbells lead RevivalNow! Ministries. International itinerent teachers
and preachers, they bring a recognized apostolic and prophetic flavour to their
ministry. They are the founders of the Pray The Bible Series, board
members of Hope For The Nations, co-founders of New Life Church, and
authors of WELCOMING A VISITATION OF THE SPIRIT, PRAYING THE
BIBLE, and THE RADICAL ARMY.

Commissioner Philip Needham
Phil Needham leads The Salvation Army in the
southern United States. With degrees from Miami, Princeton, and Emory
(doctorate), Needham brings a scholarly perspective to the mission of The
Salvation Army. Alongside HE WHO LAUGHED FIRST, Phil wrote the Army standard on
ecclesiology, COMMUNITY IN MISSION. Having served in various leadership
positions, including College For Officer Training (Atlanta) and International
College for Officers (London), Phil had great experience to share with The War
College. |

David Demian
David Demian gave up his medical career to fulfil
the Lord's calling in 1985 and moved from Egypt to Canada in 1988. He has been
involved in a series of strategic meetings called "The Gatherings." Free of
schedules and predetermined speakers, the Gatherings provide a unique
opportunity for believers to assemble to seek the face of the Lord in worship
and prayer. David's passion is for God's people to be prepared as the Bride of
Christ waiting for His Coming. David and his wife, Ruth, have six children and
they reside in Vancouver, BC.
