Salvation is not just received once at the initial conversion but it is a life long process. Conversion is the beginning of a pilgrimage with God that requires constant obedience to Him. Obedience is a free-will consequence of faith. The pilgrimage requires that we separate ourselves from sin and consecrate ourselves to the purposes of God. Obedient faith is given by God’s grace, not by our own efforts.
